The Atlas 2 carries a limited 2-year warranty covering manufacturing defects. Listed here are actions that invalidate, or are not covered by, the warranty:
- Cracked screens - cracks, fractures, and chips in the glass are not covered by the warranty as they compromise the device. Due to the way the Atlas is bonded together, they are unable to be taken apart in order to replace the screen.
- Excessive wear/abrasion on the enclosure - Atlas 2 enclosures are made to withstand the harsh marine environment. That being said, they are not impervious to damage. If mounted where high powered lines are pressing or rubbing against it, the enclosure can experience excessive abrasion which can greatly impact the integrity of the seals. Please make sure that when mounted, your Atlas is free of lines and cleats. We recommend the use of a protective case and/or a mounting bracket that allows the lines to run free of the Atlas. - Dismantling the Atlas - Please don’t attempt to dismantle your Atlas, doing so will fully null and void your warranty
- Purchasing a Used/Second Hand Unit - The warranty is non-transferrable and only extends to units purchased brand new.
